Fierce is widely recognised as one of the UK’s most important festivals of live art, bringing countless bold and innovative projects to Birmingham every year.
Queen & Crawford provided full Production Management for the 2012 Fierce Festival, taking care of the fabrication, logistics and installation of some 24 artistic works including six ambitious sculptural pieces across the city, as well as many more workshops, parties, gigs and interventions.
This included negotiating the use of wasteland under the city’s world famous Spaghetti Junction to install 100m of dolly track as part of an interactive installation (Graeme Miller, Track), and fabricating a life-size replica of the United Nations Assembly in the city centre – and filled with dachshund dogs (Bennett Miller, Daschund UN).
We also took the lead on safety management for the 7500 audience members.
